The amount of underage drinking in high school and college keeps increasing over time. In 2001 the number of people with DWI's(Driving While Intoxicated) increased from 2.3 million to 2.8 million people. Per year there are about 670,00 students between the ages of 18 and 24 who are assaulted or raped by other college students who are under the influence of alcohol. A lot more students are starting to binge drink which is the modern definition of drinking alcoholic
beverages with the primary intention of becoming intoxicated by heavy consumption of alcohol over a short period of time.
Id think that most college kids drink, most high school kids drink. I don't think we can change what teens do today. Drinking isn't needed at a young age but teens do it anyways for whatever reason.. I think it's sad, the choices teens make which can lead to bad decisions which can often lead to death.
